The wiggle dress became first came into style during the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. It offered a sexier and more sophisticated option to the very full-skirted dresses that have become synonymous stylistically with most of the 1950’s.

It seems with the rising popularity of the TV series Mad Men that an increase in women going retro is following.

With leading ladies oozing this much style and sexual appeal how can you blame anyone for wanting to emulate their looks.

I certainly can't. Neither, apparently, can these designers: Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant , L'Wren Scott , and Nina Ricci as seen in their catwalk shows featuring the fuller figure and hourglass silhouettes so celebrated of the 1950's.
